City to host Indian Youth Model United Nations conference

VADODARA: The city based Navrachana School in Sama will host the Indian Youth Model United Nations conference later this month. The three day long inter-school event will begin on August 14 and conclude on August 16.
A model United Nations conference is an academic simulation of the various United Nations Organizations. Each student is assigned a delegation of a country or organization and is required to address the agenda.The students find a solution to the problem for which the committee has been set up while keeping in mind the assigned country's actual foreign policies. "Model United Nations conferences are a great tool for enhancing one's personality, public speaking skills, intellect, diplomacy and what not along with adding on to one's knowledge of world politics. The mention of a model United Nations conference in one's resume holds great importance," said a member of the organizing team here on Saturday.
"In the era where people are commercializing, model United Nations conferences have taken a step to educate the youth. Our motto is 'where idealism comes to reality'. Hence, we strive to provide the best educational conference for our delegates. We have provided the platform to educate today's youth with issues of the world concern," the organizer added.
